Just looked on line. Most, if not all, residential CO Detectors that I could find had a limit as to both low and high temps... typical Low limit was 32 or 40 degrees... however some were down much lower than that.
I don't know if you are correct, however I would look at the manufacturer's lower limit before purchasing.
I also don't know what the low ambient temp limit is as far as the detector batteries... if battery powered.
