Propane is heaver than air and settles to the floor. CO is lighter than air and rises.
My Propane detector is near the floor. The CO detector is about halfway between the floor and the ceiling.
True, but a LOT of OEM's are using the combo LP/CO detectors now and they ARE mounted at the floor level. Doug
