Carefree Electric awning

I have a Carefree Electric awning that you can not tip, it has the dump system, they tell me there is a kit you can get to install that will allow it to tip, I am wondering what that cost compared to having a manual awning installed, called one place and they said they could install the manual for about a thousand dollars, has any one bought the kit and installed it? if so did it work ok and was it hard to install. I am thoroughly disgusted with the Electric awning
