Cell Phone extenders

Technology moves on. I'm looking for recommendations for a cell phone extender to mount on the RV. It seems many of them have a problem with the indoor antenna and the phone has to be within inches of the antenna?
  • The interior antenna on our Maximum Signal Max Amp RV booster/repeater supplies a signal throughout the interior of our 34' motorhome and it even extends to the awning area outside. The interior antenna does have to be located at least 15 feet or so away from the rooftop antenna though, to avoid oscillation. Our Max Amp has worked quite well for us in deep fringe areas where our phones and hotspots saw no usable signal at all without it.
  • The indoor antennas have a limited range on purpose. You don't want the indoor and outdoor antennas seeing each other, it can damage the amp and disrupt service.

An indoor antenna that covered the entire inside of an RV would also engage an antenna mounted on the outside.
