I won't take any further bait in this senseless argument.
You are out of your league here and refuse to admit it.
We are NOT talking about a simple resistive element in a "normal" light bulb here. Both CFLs and LEDs have electronics in the base that can and do care what each side is connected to. And both can give off a glow with only pico volts present and virtually no current flow at all.
IF the system was designed to be totally above earth ground with both sides of the AC line having it's own transmission wire then this would be a whole different discussion. It is NOT designed that way and one side of the AC supply IS EARTH GROUND.
