Champion 2000 watt on sale

Wow, that's an awesome price. Unfortunately, Home Depot in Canada doesn't carry Champion. However, Costco does. So, would two 2000w inverters running in parallel be better than the Champion 3400w which claims to be able to run a 15000btu a/c? I'm also thinking lifting 2 48lb inverters is better that lifting 1 110lber. I guess I'm wondering if it's output is 4000w or is there a reduction in wattage running it parallel?
