The Champion actually has 100 more watts at surge. My old Honda eu3000is wouldn't start my trailers A/C until I put the start kit in the A/C unit. Reviews say the Champion won't have that problem. We'll see.
My Champion 3100 starts our AC with no problem and we camp at over 6000 feet.
