Fun fact. The Champion 3400 and the 3500 are the same generator with different labels. Champion is conservative on the output numbers of their generators. The retailer wanted the more accurate number, looking for an edge. I have a feeling that some other manufacturers are fudging the other direction. I've seen several posts where the Champion 3100 starts a 15,000 A/C without a problem. My Honda 3000is couldn't start my 13,600 A/C without the hard start kit. But the 15,000 A/C unit has no problem with the Champion. I don't think the difference is 100 watts.
