The reason the Hondas seem quieter is the noise from the cash register drowns them out.

I have one, had a Honda and won't go back to Hondas unless they drop their price in half. You will like the Champion, and they are not loud, like the Honda owners want you to think.

I happen to have the Champion 3100.

Tested decibel level at a campground and registered 62. No earplugs needed....oh, ah, ya and unit was running my 15K ac.

That's a lot of watts for cheap. need a very long cord, or ear plugs.
