Is it called harmonized because of the harm it does to your pocket.

In Canada there is a Federal sales tax (GST) of 5% and various Provinces have additional sales tax. In Saskatchewan it is 6%.

Some Provinces have combined the GST with their provincial tax. This is referred to as "harmonized sales tax" and in Ontario it is 13%

In the USA our sales tax is by state and runs 6-8% more or less. Are there taxes on top of those Canadian prices?

For comparison Costco Canada has the recoil start 3100 for $850 and the duel fuel 3400 inverter for $1300. Just for comparison.......

That is a good price, we have the slightly smaller 3100 version with remote start going on 3 years, it's definitely worth considering for anyone in the market for a quality inverter genny that will easily run an RV AC, at high elevations and on eco-mode.

Our onboard Onan which was major overkill most of the time, rarely gets fired up these days except for exercising and occasionally while traveling down the road. Being accustomed to one button starting, it was imperative that any genny we purchased had a remote start feature.

I have the remote start version of that gen and love it. Just for the record, I paid more than that in U$ a couple years ago. It was the best I could find at the time, and I'm not at all disappointed.

Unfortunately this is not the electric start model. :(
