We don't have Sam's Club here in Canada - nor do we have the cheaper pricing on many goods as compared to your country. Nonetheless, at $999.99, this a good price for us Canadians.
Just to make you feel better, the 3500/4000 Champion dual-fuel runs off gasoline or propane and goes for less than US$400 here. It is heavy and is not an inverter but it is cheaper for those who don't need it. Also very reliable,
