I really hope the OP does call Champion and reports back as I'd like to hear more about their "legendary" service. I can buy a Champion genset just about anywhere around here but mostly in big box stores which sure can't help with parts and service. Our local Costco now finally stocks the Champ 3100 watt inverter genset and even at $950 Cdn + tax it would be tempting BUT NOT if I can't get parts & service just as easily as I can for my Honda genset by simply dropping by my local Honda motorcycle dealer. As successful as Champion has been in recent years I suspect parts & service is still where the rubber meets the road for Champ owners. ;)
