thats not how i read it, ether kept it running. his engine did not like carb cleaner for some reason or he did it wrong, since it didn't change rpm when running or stalling.
If he was giving it enough ether, on a 3kw load it should have returned to 3600rpm and then some if it was strictly a fuel issue.
