I only run it in the evenings and the parking lots are already so noisy that the Champion is not noticed by others. I do NOT plan to run it in quiet campgrounds.
I'm a great believer in quieting any generator used in a campground as much as possible but as long as you can avoid the temptation to use your new open frame Champ in that situation it sure seems to be the right tool for the job you have at hand. Congrats! :B
