A. The outlets will be powered if the inverter is turned on--if it is wired to supply the entire RV. However, you probably want to set the fridge to propane only, and the OEM converter must be turned off.
B. Some inverters have a transfer switch in which case the change may be automatic (see above).
C. Cost. My OEM converter would cost about $200 to replace. The inverter/charger is about ten times that amount.

C. Why don't RV's come with Inverter's instead of Converters? Is it simply because the battery banks are not large enough to handle the load?
