When deciding to change over lighting to LED's there is more to consider than just the initial added cost.
Personally; I have a 300 AH house-battery-bank. My normal usage over all the years of camping has not lead me to running out of battery capacity. As long as I can get the automotive type of bulbs I have no reason to change.
Also; if you like the advantage of having your television for use for at night or in bad weather, there is the problem of the digital television picture be periodically pixelated by the interference of certain types of LED lights being manufactured.
I can see the need for those camping without shore-power, or seasonal-camping and paying for metered usage. But not worth the hassle for me.
