If bulk is done with the generator.... does it need repeting? OK you could trick it perfectly if you plan it just right. Solar will still charge pretty good all day in float if the battery is still low. Then it catches up the next day. Not a doomsday scenario.
BTW, please don't run your generator at sunrise. Some are still sleeping or at least prefer the silence of the morning filled only with the sound of nature. That is the whole point of solar in the first place. :R
