Senor Almot with all due respect a lot of this conversation has to due with recharging by generator and not power pedestal. With a power pedestal an individual can use a calendar to set charging times, or how many inches a glacier travels.
Way back when I had 44 amperes worth of panels on the roof of a rig and I still needed generator assist. About 2 hours worth at 200 amperes total, every 2nd day.
Solar is not "magic". There are X number of hours in the day where panels produce >80% of their rated output. 200 amp hours was not cutting it for me so I had to supplement with a generator. I.E. Do a majority of the charging with the generator first thing in the morning, then let the panels have at the batteries the rest of the day.
I would have C10'd my way all the way to the sulfated battery scrap heap.
