Bought 2 new Interstate Group 24 batteries today. The old ones were 42 months old on a 30 month warranty. They had reduced amp capacity down to about 60 amps apiece. Originally they were 85 thereabouts. Since we will be doing a great deal of winter dry camping and using the furnace, I thought it best to replace them as to have the original 170 amps opposed to 120. Yes I know the batteries will not perform at peak level in the cold. But this is the longest I've gotten out of my batteries! Usually 30-36 months and a cell or two goes bad.
