For reference my 2002 Dodge/Cummins pickup at idle cold my Bosch 135 amp alternator can put out 130 amps. I have installed a total of 70 ft. (pos. and neg.) of #4 wire from my truck batteries to my camper batteries and now get a initial charge rate of 35 to 40amps to the two group 31 AGM camper batteries. This is with the camper batteries at 12.3 to 12.4 volts state of charge and 50 degree temps..
