ny understanding from the OP posting is he is trying to run the fridge off DC electric going down the road rather than LP.
That means he needs around 30A, which in many cases is less than what you can get from the alternator and wiring. Yes, the alternator can put out 200+ amps, but when the run to the trailer is 14 ga or so and 25ft long, it's hard to get even 20A, 30 A is really pushing your luck.
