Why doesn't he run it on propane? The battery has plenty to keep it going for a lot of miles.
If not enough battery cables and boxes are cheap.
I'm not sure of the size of the Ford wiring but it had a large 20 amp fuse, under the hood on the towable charge circuit. Had a hard time finding one, after dealer tried to raise the fifth wheel off the truck charging circuit. They had run down the house batteries.
Ours ran on the Charging circuit and Fifth Wheel onboard propane tanks.
