if you get a battery that doesnt have active balancing in the BMS I would take it right back. most people want a drop in and forget battery and a proper LiFePo4 will be this once you get a proper charger as the BMS will be ballancing every time you are charging. some people like doing the balancing them selves but for me when I can have a computer chip do it why should I go through the time for that.
and why wouldent you use AH to decide your state of charge on a LFP ? they do have meters that read that to and it does work....
