I'd be interested as well in links to any documentation supporting this argument as a genset floating neutral output has nothing to do with the converter itself but could be a problem with any transfer switch and/or EMS such as a Progressive Industries unit that expects to see separate hot, neutral, and ground feeds as an input source. Since the OP hasn't indicated he's using either I doubt his EU2000i's floating neutral output is the reason for the problem he's having.
