Unh unh.
What I mean is the AGM should be HAMMERED. 20% minimum. But if intuition and common sense tells you that your three week road trip of 50/90 charges may have affected capacity, then let that battery sit at 14.4 volts for at least an hour or two longer AFTER amperage has slumped to half a percentage point of total amp hour capacity. I beg to differ with Lifeline. The hour or two buys you the equivalent of top-charge AGM style.
But common sense has to rule. Three or four weeks at 50/90 charging has likely affected storage capacity a little. In a kinder, gentler world, try increasing voltage to 14.8 for an hour and note plus accumulated amp hours from 14.4 half percent displayed to 14.8 half percent displayed.
IF THE BATTERY IS WARM AFTER THE 14.4 VOLT EXTENDED TIME CHARGE, LET IT COOL BEFORE DOING THE 14.8 VOLTS STEP UP. Venting -must- be avoided. The sides of the case will bulge with pressure when the battery has exceeded the recombination capacity.
This trick is easier than often performing a loss of storage capacity test and full-on recovery 911 style.
But I must repeat! The top-charge is for occasions where you are convinced you have ended up chronically undercharging the battery for weeks and weeks.
The MINIMUM charge rate is vital. The achieving of full charge is necessary to avoid doing the Hokey Pokey Lifeline style.
