I was on the same set of AGM batteries from 2007 until one month ago ... and even then that set was still enabling drycamping for the two of us.
I'll take care of our new AGMs the same as the old - 13.6 volts when camping from a small generator, 13.6 volts from a home receptacle when in storage in the back yard, and 14.X volts from the alternator when going down the road between dry camping sites. The old AGMs charged and floated on 13.6 volts or charged on 14.X volts.
Maybe staying put in a campsite many days at a time makes this AGM battery maintenance complicated. Our camping style made taking care of our AGMs easy ... of course I wasn't shooting for a 15 year life out of them, either.
