It is easy to have a spare PWM if you have a 12v array but not so ea$y to have a spare MPPT if you have a 24v array. EG Mr Wiz lost his MPPT but had a spare PWM, but he has a 12 array
I have a spare PWM controller having sold my 130w panel but can't use it with my 230w panel if the Eco-W goes bad. Another reason to have two 120s instead of a single 240. Could run the two in series for MPPT, but switch to parallel if needing to use the PWM.
