Sorry I'm still confused as to what exactly the the quoted statement means
Each of us experience things a bit differently
Watts (DC) to me is very simple Volts x Current
A 500 watt PV array with the correct temps & lighting should come very close (efficiency is expected to be in the high/very high 90%, if not something is wrong)to supplying 35+ amps(to a 12Vdc nominal load requiring such current) if not then again something is wrong with the installation. I don't really care if it's a PWM or MPPT controller.
Not sure how we got onto PWM Vs MPPT
There are many flavors of each variety some good some NOT so good
