Yes that what I'm trying to clarify
I think you will find that a quality MPPT controller doesn't try to buck, if there is no excess voltage, it just passes thru the amps available coming from the panels
When the panels are hot, There is no amps lost with a quality controller
That is one of the misconceptions that keeps popping up being posted
