Fig. 15 really tells the story. Virtually no one will use their RV in the extreme temperature regions. In extreme heat, you wouldn't survive without AC. That means shore power or generator use, making solar a non-issue.
In the moderate temperature region, pwm no worst than 10% of mppt. Best case, they are equal. On average, mppt is 5% better than pwm.
It comes down to price to performance. For the extra cost of mppt, you're not getting much performance gain. It would be wiser to stick that money into more solar.
