China CAN and DOES manufacture excellent bearings UNDER SUPERVISION of a foreign owned company with proper standards and material sourcing.
When I was production building alternators, bearings bearing MADE IN CHINA would not fit bearing bores nor shafts correctly. It was a joke. So were USSR bearings. Some of the finest BALL bearings in the world are manufactured by NTN a Japanese company with plants world wide.
Labor costs hyper government regulation and speculation driven cost of materials has utterly destroyed USA manufacturing. Everybody wants to be a millionaire even if it takes outsourcing. Guess what? It got out of hand and now the monkeys are running the zoo.
