Why does my 2017 Ford V-10 check engine light stay on?
Since your vehicle is a 2017, it is most likely still under factory warranty. If so, the best thing you could do is take it to an authorized Ford truck dealer and ask their service writer your above referenced question. Let Ford tell you what is wrong on their dime. Their diagnostic machine is MUCH MORE comprehensive than anything Autozone, Walmart, etc. has. Further, if/when Ford looks at your vehicle, a record will be made of the fault code search and subsequent repair, if any. That way, if you have any recurring issues AFTER the warranty expires, you have a good argument, and a written record, that an authorized Ford dealer attempted repairs and they relapsed.
Or, do it another way and open yourself to the blame game, which you will most likely lose. Your choice. Good luck. Please write back when the issue is solved.

Not only is a 2017 it still in warranty, it NEEDS FIXED before you end up causing extremely expensive emissions repairs. Unburnt or raw fuel caused by a non firing cylinder can and will poison the O2 sensors and even damage the cat converters.
Your check engine light (CEL) will light up when the engine misfires (fuel/spark), detects faults like O2 sensors, cat converter issues and even something as simple as not fully sealing the gas tank cap..
You DID make sure you have followed the correct procedure for tightening the gas cap?
Some you must turn until you hear two or three clicks.
In fact, if you have the "capless" gas cap thing, you may have a defective fuel tank filler.. Capless gas fillers are notorious for not sealing and can throw a CEL.
By the way, emissions system related CELs should also be covered up to 50K miles and 5 years or less old..
According to HERE
It would be stupid to continue to own and drive a 1 yr old vehicle and ignore and drive with a CEL light all the wile it is under factory warranty.
Take it to your local Ford dealer, if they are no able to accommodate a Motor Home, they should be able to at least find the nearest Ford TRUCK SHOP.
