Here's what concerns me the most about both the Goodyear bulletin and the similar language at the Tire Rack site:
Neither one mentions any necessity to derate the tire for load if traveling at the higher speed.
ST tires are rated for more load than LT tires of similar size, and it's been my understanding that one reason for that is the lower speed "rating". Tire Rack does caution that increasing air pressure doesn't "provide any additional load carrying capacity"...but doesn't the higher speed call for REDUCING that number?
Since so many trailers are on rubber at the ragged edge of just-sufficient per load capacity, this seems to me to be a critical point.
It was in the link that CapriRacer posted. -10% for speeds above 75mph. That is speeding in all states (I think) so Tire Rack probably won't mention it. It might be interpreted as condoning excessive speed

Thanks....I presume the same holds true for the legal speeds we're talking about. But shouldn't that be in big fat language in the Goodyear/Tire Rack pages??? I think there are lots of trailers out there on LR"D" tires that are at or near top capacity as given for the 65mph speed "limit".
It seems to me that if the interrelationship between load, speed, and air pressure were better understood by users there'd be a lot fewer blowouts on trailers.
Side note per Capriracer's Link:
Is there a way to magnify at that page? I can't read the itty bitty print...
