Cleaning an awning
What is the recommended way to clean an awning? Mine has gotten a bit of mildew, especially on the underside, and soap and water don't quite do the trick. Would bleach damage the fabric?

We use Simple Green and water. I get under there with a brush with a long handle and scrub till the mildew is gone. Then spray it off with the hose. Please note: You will get wet using this method.
I know a guy who cleans awnings for businesses in strip malls and that is how he does it.
To get the black streaks, he uses an expanded plastic onion bag over the brush.
