I use to pick up movements like these and put them in cigar and wine boxes to sell. I made the first over 20 years ago and it still keeps time today.
We have a number of old clocks dating back to 1800, one is near 9 ft tall. Most of the smaller ones are not worth enough to rebuild or replace the movement so a battery movement is put in its place. What amazing is what a clock shop charges to do it.
