Hi Steve,
My solar charge controller is temperature compensated--but there isn't a great deal of sun.
When I returned to the RV on Wednesday the solar system was in float mode. Today it was not in float mode. I did see 15.5 volts.

Might not be a bad idea assuming your batteries are not inside. I am surprised that you don't have a temperature compensated charger. Keep warm.
