cold water heater
its going to be in the 20s this weekend while we are out does it take longer for the waterheater to work when its cold out or does it matter thanks

At -10 c (14 f) ambient the water heater on the electric setting takes about 120 minutes before it first cycles. In the spring and fall at 20 c (68 f) the time to first cycle is 90 minutes.
As 20ldman said, it will cycle more often,the colder it is outside.
