I am fond of saying "There are no six volt batteries in RV's"
Here is why: When you put two GC-2 Six Volt Golf car batteries in series, as you purpose to do, they become, effectively one big 12 volt battery
So you want to put 4 12 volt batteries in parallel, 2 big, 2 small. YES you can do that. In fact I do something very simular myself.
NOTE: teh existing 12 volt are likely Marine/Deep cycle, these will not likely last as long as the six volt DEEP CYCLE in RV house use. But that is more solution than problem as when you replace 'em... You guessed it.
