If you didn't happen to see it I made a post about the Earthquake generator a week or so ago here http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/28556020/gotomsg/28556383.cfm#28556383. The price at Amazon is up $25 since I got mine. The Porta Source version, which looks to be the same thing, cost a lot more than the Earthquake when I got mine, now it costs less. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I suggest reading the first 6 or so "most helpful" Amazon reviews for more info. The report about the high frequency noise on part of the sine wave is correct, hasn't yet bothered anything I've used it with. I was able to use it boondocking on one trip where taking the eu2000i wasn't possible, and have used it enough in remote areas of the property that I feel I've already got what I paid out of it. I should also re-emphasize the part about being able to control the power converter draw. If you're battery wants more than about 30 amps and you can't control it, the generator is just a brick with a handle.
