Did you catch the 3,500 ft altitude? At sea level it reliably ran in the high 800 VA area for several hours (I'm using VA now because I was running the power converter). I didn't use the 15' measuring distance for any reason other than that's the size of the clear area I had available. The sound numbers aren't for spec comparison, just head-to-head comparison against the Honda. If I go back to when I was 10 years younger and had a bigger rig with big storage doors where I could easily lift the generator in and out, there was absolutely no reason to go smaller than the eu2000i. Now that I'm weaker and have pitifully small storage compartments that I have to reach the generator into, I'm willing to have to fiddle with the charge level to save storage space and my back. As far as the 10 year-old-helper goes, if I had to lift the helper in and out of bed and carry him around, I'd choose the 10-year-old over an adult.
The *** could a little worrying, does it repeatedly give up at less than 800 watt load or do I misread that 782 number?
