In my, short, experience with a WFCO 8955 (which started with the new trailer this month) I cannot get enough voltage out of it to be charging much more than single digits of current after the first couple of minutes. Your mileage may vary depending on your setup of course :-(
I have 2 current forcing battery chargers and will attach them directly to the batteries. I alternate, with only one battery powering the trailer at a time. The trailer has like 25' of number 6 wire between the WFCO 8955 and the battery, and the sealed bottom is not something I am inclined to mess with just to get less drop (at this point anyway). Given the current forcing chargers go as high as 15.2 volts later in the cycle I found I charged noticeably faster than with a 4 stage charger with - on paper - almost double the capacity when used in the old trailer.
