Complex Sync Issue Between Salesforce CRM and Digital Membership Card

Hi everyone,

We’re facing a fairly complex issue while integrating a Membership Anywhere digital membership card with Salesforce CRM, and wanted to see if anyone here has dealt with something similar.

The integration is API-based and mostly works, but we’re seeing intermittent data consistency issues. Specifically, when a membership is upgraded, renewed, or cancelled in Salesforce, the Membership Anywhere digital card sometimes shows an outdated status or incorrect expiry date. This seems to happen more frequently when multiple updates occur within a short time window.

From what we can tell so far, this looks like a timing or race condition issue between Salesforce record updates and the Membership Anywhere system consuming those updates. Salesforce itself ends up with the correct final state, but the digital card occasionally reflects an earlier event instead of the latest one.

We’re currently using Salesforce Flows with outbound API calls to Membership Anywhere. While retry logic helps to some extent, it doesn’t fully resolve the issue. There are no hard API failures in the logs, which makes debugging more difficult.

Has anyone integrated Membership Anywhere with Salesforce for digital membership cards and run into similar problems around async processing, event ordering, or eventual consistency? Any recommendations around architecture (Platform Events, webhooks, middleware, etc.) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any insights.
