West, I understand about chimney effect. You seal the fridge from all the sides except the back, leave 1-1.5" between the condenser and the trailer wall, with cold air intake near the fridge bottom, and hot air flows up in this narrow passage. Passive condensers rely on this effect heavily, and manufacturers recommend it in all the manuals, including those for absorption fridges. What puzzles me is why the frig should be "halfway sealed". Mex knows so much that it's hard to understand him sometimes ;)
Boon, I doubt that you will need 150-200 AH a day for a unit with BD35 or BD50. If my memory doesn't fail me, BD50 draws 5 amp when it's cycling. Even with 100% cycle this would be only 120 AH over 24 hours. BD35 draws ~4A. There is also a circuit board and (sometimes) compressor fan, but those won't draw more than a few amp-hours a day.
