According to the Power Consumption graph that Westend linked to if you follow along the '150 liters' line you can see 50 ah's for the refer and 150 ah's for the freezer.
This brochure is way too general. Yes, 50AH and 150AH at 77F ambient. At what inside temps in fridge and freezer? In what "average box" (their term)? Insulation of manufacturer's boxes varies from brand to brand, not to mention that most users add more insulation.

...at Nova Kool they said to figure around 3 amps per hour per unit but we were talking refrigerator. One would have to think the freezer would consume more power than the fridge so I'd have to think the 200 ah's shown on the graph would be a fairly good number to run with and I'd much rather error on the high side
There can't be such thing as too much solar :), though in fridge and freezer estimates it looks like you are going to err by a factor of 2 or 3.
How 200 AH is possible in 24 hours with the same 3A compressor? Even with more powerful 5A compressor AND at 100% cycle it would be only 120 AH. I don't know how high is the startup "bump" with BD35 and BD50, but Danfoss is talking about "soft start" so it can't be too high, and it lasts mere milliseconds. Besides, the startup bump is irrelevant when compressor is running 100%, isn't it?
The title "BD 35 consumption" under that graph is very, very odd. It would be impractical to put BD35 compressor in a 9 cu.ft fridge, not to mention a freezer. From the specs where it often says 4.5 or 5A for models larger than 6 cu.ft, it appears that Novakool uses BD50 with those larger units, and I would be very surprised if other manufacturers ignored laws of physics and used BD35 there. IMO, that graph in Danfoss brochure is an averaged or collective data for "a compressor" of unknown capacity that cools or freezes the box of certain volume with certain unspecified insulation to certain unspecified temperature.
