Compressor shuts down after thermostat replacement

I just replaced the thermostats in two trailers with Honeywell digital battery-powered thermostats. Wired them up yellow compressor wire to Y, brown lo fan wire to G, white furnace wire to W, green gr...

No, I just wired up the fan low circuit, and left the fan hi wire disconnected. The fan seems to run OK, it's just the compressor that shuts down. Is that what yours did?
