You are thinking of Mex's (and Lifeline's) 20% minimum amps /AH size of bank, rule for charging AGMs. Hard to do with "low and slow, all day" solar. Could be done using the gen/charger first, then switch to solar.
I would say 7 years from any battery Rving is very good, and the OP did it without following any rules. So whatever he does now is just gravy. Time to figure out the dollars per year on batteries vs the dollars per year of controllers and chargers and not go overboard on the latter when batteries are fairly cheap per year.
