Connecting Honda with Yamaha generators in parallel?

I have a Yamaha EF2000i and a friend has one of the similar Honda 2000 generators, and I'm curious if I can connect them in parallel. I know that they are each capable, but I wasn't sure if that had ...

Ya think maybe the synchronization protocol might be proprietary to thwart this very thought? Honorable Oriental thinking included much committee discussion of this very subject. Beware.
