I think the OP knows how to adjust a bearing....you need to check the equalizer links. The factory suspension comes with cheap plastic bushings on the shackle bolts that wear out in fast order. When I replaced mine the shackle bolts had rusted and frozen so that the equalizer assembly wouldn't pivot between the axles. Stuck in position, it was putting more weight on the rear axle than the front causing the RR tire to blow.
Check your equalizers and be sure they move easy and distribute weigh F/R. Could explain why one hub runs hot and the one behind it on the same side runs cool.
