I’d say in the broader scheme of things, we do not live in a bubble - the best way to reduce wirldwide pollution might be to promote the advancement and modernization within highly polluted third world countries…When considering the fatiguable supply of hydrocarbons (and their emissions), nuclear seems a rational alternative, especially at the higher latitudes where limited PV…On a different note, Musk estimates that the entire US power needs could be satisfied with only 100 sq miles of PV (say in Nevada) and only 1 sq mile of batteries, but the political obstacles to achieving this (even IF true??) does not suggest any sort of Climate ‘EMERGENCY’…On nearly every front (from my perspective) we are living in a ‘post-truth’ era, stewarded by too many vested political interest and adulterated information - Just my humble opinion…
