If the fan is already coming on at 60 to 70 degrees, what do you suppose its going to do at 80 to 90 degrees,......go up in smoke one day ?? Right.
Of course, this is assuming that it has been properly installed w/ adequate ventilation. But same difference, a quality converter should be able to operate w/ minimal ventilation, and the fan will take care of it from there.
I'm talking about the furnace fan when the heat is on and the conv cycles.
Have you seen the temps here in Az? The conv fan runs all the time except for a couple of months in winter.
What do you suppose it would have done yesterday @ 117*
While preparing for a camping trip and it's plugged in for 2 days trying to cool down the fridge the conv fan is on within min of plugging in and will run continually until I pull the plug to leave.
Come spend a summer with us and you will find a whole new set of challenges.
